Un hymne à l’Amour : In Japanese culture, the legend of the red thread, or Akai Ito, refers to the joining of two beings by an invisible, indestructible magic thread attached to their little fingers.
Record-breaking attendance of more than 4 millions visitors … and still going !

Ninapharm set a new Guinness World Record trial at the Miraculous Garden by creating the “World’s Largest Heart-Shaped Origami” on July 14th.

A special Day at Osaka Expo 2025 : I was happy to be of help bring Bonsaï at the “Tradition ” event together with Living National Treasure Master Genjiro OKURA.
This Bonsaï is the very same one that was exhibited in Osaka 1970 !
Thanks to Shunkaen Bonsaï Museum where it is now displayed alongside other masterpieces — a must-see in Tokyo, featuring Master Kunio KOBAYASHI’s latest work set within a truly magnificent garden.

MVV 2025 at EXPO 2025 OSAKA
A MVV day at the Pavilion France.

Result of a three-year collaboration between Mieux Vivre en Ville and Cofrex (the organiser and producer of the Pavilion France), together with His Excellency Philippe SETTON, Ambassador of France to Japan, Commissioner General of the France Pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka, M. Jacques MAIRE, President of COFREX, together with 100 Counsellors CCE Japan – Foreign French Trade Advisors in Japan from across the globe, MVV presented the conclusions of a 13 years long action on “Smart & Sexy Cities”.
I vividly recall an inspiring conversation, three years ago, with Jacques MAIRE about the MVV theme “SMART & SEXY” and his vision of “Hymne à l’Amour” as a guiding inspiration for Pavilion France.
Thank you for this wonderful occasion.

EARTH AT NIGHT, a stunning Wajima Laque Globe (1m diameter !) with gold figuring the lights of the cities. A must see, “conveying to the world the importance of thinking about others beyond conflict and division.” but they forgot Paris ! Official site

KOWEIT PAVILION “Visionary Lighthouse” features a beautiful architectural concept centered on light and lightness. Official site

SINGAPOUR PAVILION “Where Dreams take Shape” Official site

April 2025 at Osaka Expo 2025 … START ! with 6 pavilions …

PORTUGAL PAVILION “Ocean, the Blue Dialogue” From Kengo Kuma’s unique rope architecture to the exhibition itself, the message is strong and clear, I enjoyed it very much. Official Site

Women’s Pavilion ともに by Cartier “WHEN WOMEN THRIVE, HUMANITY THRIVES” offers an attractive and innovative experience that trully engages visitors — a must-see. Official Site

UAE PAVILION “Earth to Ether” presents multiple facets — tradition and modernity — of the United Arab Emirates, very well explained by the multilingual staff and set in a quite attractively interesting surroundings. Official site

SWISS PAVILION “From Heidi to High-Tech” has amazing architecture; I loved it because it reminds me of Barbapapa’s house — that I’ve always dreamed of building one day. I wouldn’t queue if the wait is too long. Official site

JAPAN PAVILION “Between Lives” has quite an interesting architecture … It makes visitors walk a lot, and makes the queue appear shorter than it really is. I had an issue with the staff: after queuing, they refused me entrance, arguing I didn’t hold a paid expo site ticket. I wouldn’t queue if the wait is long; it’s best to check times before going. Official Site

USA PAVILION “America, the Beautiful” displays a moon rock — a major highlight of Osaka Expo 1970. I heard that the welcoming picture wall from April, which showed the diversity of the USA as a strength, has been changed (^-^). The star-cartoon guiding us beneath a rocket launch … all are not very convincing. I wouldn’t queue if the wait is long. Official Site
